M Date - Movies

Last weekend Corey and I had our M Date (yes, we are doing these way out of order).  We decided to go to Gold Class to see The Hunger Games.  I had been wanting to see this since it came out but hadn't been feeling quite up to it.  I am so glad we finally go to watch it.  I was so impressed with this movie. I think they recreated the world of the books so well.  The contrast between the districts and the capitol was done perfectly.  The capitol characters costumes were phenomenal. The colour, the eccentricity, I was very impressed!

And I must say Rue was the cutest little thing I have ever seen! I think she was my favourite character even though she only had a small part.  Have you guys seen The Hunger Games?  What did you think?

ABC Dates - B is for Byron Bay

I saw the idea of ABC Dates over at The Daily Everythings a couple of weeks ago and Corey and I thought it would be a good idea to try and do before Squishy joins us.  Basically we have to come up with a date for every letter of the alphabet.  There are so many things we talk about doing on weekends and never get around to.  They are all pretty simple but won't be as easy for us to do when we have a little one to think about as well. We won't be doing them in order as there are a few that can only be done at certain times of the year or on certain weekends.  Last weekend we started with the letter B and headed down to Byron Bay for the markets.  Here are a few photos I snapped with my iphone...

Byron Bay markets are always so much fun!  When we got there we wandered around and checked out all the stalls before grabbing some lunch.  Then we did another lap and picked up these bibs for Squishy from Wana Wara.  She had some gorgeous fabrics but we tried to choose a couple that were unisex.  We then headed into town for a bit of a wander and to check out the beach.  I picked this baby name book up in the local bookshop and we stopped for a coffee and to debate names.  I have a feeling it is going to take us ages to agree on a name!
