#31 - Bake A Pull Apart Loaf of Bread

Cheese & Herb Pull Apart

While on maternity leave I have been trying to cross some things off my 101 in 1001 list.  It's been a good way to keep me motivated and occupied while I wait for our little ones arrival.  I seem to be gravitating towards the cooking items on my list and last week I crossed another one off by baking a delicious loaf of pull apart bread.

Cheese & Herb Pull Apart

For some reason I have always wanted to make a pull apart loaf of bread.  It just seemed so fun!  This loaf only had 6 sections to pull apart but they would have been the perfect single serve to go alongside some soup.  I guess you could always make more sections if you wanted to.  I just followed what the recipe said.

I would love to make another pull apart.  I was thinking next time I might make a flat plaited pull apart kind of like the ones you get at Baker's Delight.  I think they would be better for a party situation as opposed to this one which I think would be better for a dinner party alongside some nice soup.

If you want to make some cheese & herb bread as well the recipe I used can be found here.

No Knead Bread

No Knead Bread

I found this recipe on Saturday morning and was whipping it up on Saturday afternoon so we had fresh baked bread to go with dinner on Father's Day.

No Knead Bread

I have only made bread once before and it turned out ok but it was a lot of work.  This bread was super duper easy and it turned out delicious.  Seriously the longest part (apart from the cooking) was measuring out the ingredients.

I love that you just mix it up in a bowl and walk away.  Then you come back the next day and you have a dough ready for baking. Easy peasy!

I am thinking this will be great for when baby comes because I can chuck the dough together before I go to bed at night then all I have to do in the morning is shape it and chuck it in the oven.  What can be better than fresh baked bread for lunch! It will go perfect with the vegetable soup I am planning to make and freeze before Squishy arrives.

No Knead Bread

If you have never made bread before you should definitely give this recipe a go. It is just way too easy! I am thinking of making another loaf with rosemary, lemon and cheese like the original recipe suggests. Yum!!!
