Once we choose a name (we have narrowed it down to 2 choices) I would like to put her name along the wall above her cot. I am debating whether to do plain white letters or paint them or cover them in scrapbook paper. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
And because I always look at room tours and think "oh I want one of those" here is a bit of a breakdown of the items I made (and tutorials used) and the items I bought.
Quilt - made by me (using this tutorial)
Cot Sheets - made by me (using this tutorial)
Cot Skirt - made by me (no tutorial used)
Tissue Paper Pom Poms - made by me (various tutorials for these can be found online)
Cot & Change Table - Boori Urbane from Baby Bunting

SO GORGEOUS! I love the colours - the quilt is lovely, I adore the gorgeous vintage toys and books and I want to make some of those fabulous enormous pom poms and the amazing chest of drawers for my own room! It's really lovely, Kat. Sarah xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful nursery. Nothing like doing all those special decorating bits and pieces to make you super excited! I remember being heavily pregnant and refolding all my baby clothes over and over - I just loved it!
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable! I especially love that quilt you made, it's gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! The quilt is one of my favourite things as well.
DeleteWhat a lovely room, I just love all the colours you chose and it's so touching to see the amount of stuff that you made! Squishy's one lucky baby girl!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie! I wanted the colours to be girly but not all pink. Corey was scared of walking into a room covered in pink :-)
DeleteIt's lovely Kat! A very sweet room to welcome your little bundle of joy home to. The dresser is awesome, as is the quilt and the toys you made. Every bubba needs something handmade by their Mama I think. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Squishy's nursery! And such great detail! What a lucky little girl she is!
ReplyDeletePS: Have I mentioned that I love your new header? It's awesome!
Thanks Melissa! I am in love with the new header too. I am working on updating my about me page to match. I felt like I needed a change. It seems a lot fresher and cleaner now.
DeleteBeautiful nursery, and so much love because of the handcrafted items. She is a lucky little lady.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie!
DeleteI love how I recognise so many of things you made :) you talented chick, you!
ReplyDeleteI am already jealous of Squishy's wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteOh em gee. Can I tell you how much I love the tissue paper pom pom's. Okay, let me tell you.... I LOVE THEM!
ReplyDeleteI also think that it is VERY cute that you sometimes go into Squishy's room to hang out.

No post for so many days...
ReplyDeleteDid Squishy make her entrance into this world?
And has your own world gone all topsy-turvy?
I do hope you guys are all well! Very, very curious...
