One of the things I have a problem with in my wardrobe is keeping it organised. If my wardrobe is not organised I can't see things and they end up never being worn. With winter coming up one thing I really need to organise a bit better are my stockings. I have so many pairs that I forget what I have. So the other day when I was cleaning out my wardrobe I decide to tidy them up.
I split them into coloured stockings and black stockings and looped them all onto coathangers. I used plastic coated coathangers so that there is nothing that can catch or pull the stockings. The black stockings are all patterned in some way. I still have a few pairs of plain black stockings in my drawers. At the moment these are hanging on the front of my dresser but I am going to relocate them into my wardrobe. Now I can see what colours I have and wear them more often.
That's an amazing idea for organising your tights. Mine are a disaster area - wearing tights in an outfit adds at least 5 minutes onto my getting dressed time, purely in finding a suitable pair. I wish i had the space to hang up mine, sadly my hanging space is limited so mine live in a drawer.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea! I think I might use this system....my stockings are all over the place and I can never find the ones I'm after! thanks :)

What a great idea.... all of my stockings are rolled into little balls in a drawer.... which makes it difficult to find the ones I'm looking for. I'm going to be a copy cat with this one :-) thanks! Loving your mustard and orange coloured ones too!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a neat idea Kat! Thanks for sharing it with us! Sam xox
ReplyDeleteyou have a lot of stockings - wow!! Love the yellows ones!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Stops them getting all tangled in the drawer. I do the same thing with my scarves.
ReplyDeleteJust found you here on petticoats as I used to read your old blog and hadn't realised you moved! Whoops! Great to read you again... :)
