Wedding Bolero

When I first tallied up my yarn stash I told myself that before I bought anymore yarn I had to use at least quarter of my stash first.  I had roughly 44 balls of wool to use and after a few different projects I realised I had actually used 13.5 balls of wool.  Yay me!  So to treat myself I decided I could buy wool for one new project.  I have been thinking for a while about knitting a bolero for the wedding so instantly knew that would be my first purchase.

My Wedding Bolero

Even though I am getting married in November out where we are getting married it can get quite cool when the sun goes down so I wanted a little coverup to keep me warm.  I bought myself this gorgeous pink chunky wool from Spotlight because it was a perfect match for the colour of my shoes.  I started knitting this up straight away and finished it in under 2 weeks.  It was super easy to knit up and I am so happy with the finished product.  I can't wait to wear it on my wedding day!

  3. I adore this bolero, the colour is gorgeous. And did you use moss stitch to knit it? It works really well. It'll be nice to see it on you on your wedding day!

  7. Wow that is amazing. I really admire knitters. I have finished only two knitting projects ever (a scarf and a doll), and have about 6 unfinished in a box in the garage... That bolero will look stunning on your wedding day. PS. Pink shoes? That is so cool.
